Grainy ambient blues and such, partly raw, rather unconventional, at times intense, at times subtle. Songs were recorded using different setups and methods. Some were done with the assistance of a looper, others more or less without additional units. HiFi? LoFi? What does the word "Fidelity" mean in this context anyway? In german language it is "Klangtreue". As you can see, "Treue" has something to do with the word "true". HiFi would be a true, accurate reproduction of a natural sound. But what is it in this kind of music, when I dig and pull and let out the sounds not only from natural sources (resp. acoustic instruments) but from electric / electronic instruments and devices ...and most of all spontaneously from the heart? In this case "true" reproduction means authentic, direct, unbiased... with some "natural" noises and artifacts and even "mistakes" not edited away. VaryFi

The album cover is an experimental photo of some equipment of mine. I made an extremely quick move while clicking the camera. The lines at the bottom that look a bit like a keyboard originate in (by the quick move) stretched knobs and lettering on my very first guitar amp, bought decades ago. I normally don't use it anymore, but here... yes, partly. To cut it short, you get the full vintage package and more. Hope you enjoy it. To me making this record was something special.
